2nd INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

 

 

 

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, is organizing the 2nd INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE in collaboration with the Department of Ayurveda of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. The main theme of the symposium is One health for sustainable and healthy living of humans, animals, and ecosystems with the focus on 12 sub-themes;

 

  1. Vrikshayurveda (ancient science of plant life & plant care) and Satvarurveda (veterinary medicine) with a holistic approach
  2. Metabolic disorders in humans and animals
  3. Traditional practices on food, nutrition, and food safety
  4. Zoonotic diseases and traditional medicine
  5. Pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and clinical trials
  6. Preventive and curative measures of health issues
  7. Advanced medical & surgical practices in traditional medicine
  8. Eco-tourism, yoga, and wellness
  9. High-tech innovations in traditional healthcare systems
  10. Toxic effects on humans, animals, and ecosystems
  11. Antimicrobial resistance, environmental contamination, climate change, biodiversity, and habitat loss
  12. Sustainable cultivation, organic farming, conservation, and propagation of medicinal plants
