Aims of the Programme / Objectives of the Program
This programme is designed to enhance the awareness of the nature, structure and function of language in general, and to develop the candidates' ability to execute linguistic knowledge in dealing with practical activities related to the candidates' own language, it will also encourage candidates to do research on, one or the other aspect of the language as selected by them.
Lectures, Seminars, Workshops and a research project.
- Assignments: The following modules have assignments that should be submitted two weeks before the end of the lecture. (Morphology and Syntax, Basic Linguistics and Linguistics Research each assignment will be given 20% marks.)
- Written Examination: The written examination will be held at the end of the first year; there will be seven question papers (compulsory) of three hours each.
