The Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS), University of Kelaniya, was honored with the Vice-Chancellor’s Award – Commendation for Outstanding Service Website Category - 2025 at the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony, held on 01st January 2026.
The award was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, in recognition of the faculty’s commitment to enhancing digital services and strengthening its online presence.
The award-winning website was developed to serve as a comprehensive digital platform for managing and disseminating information related to the 2025 International Postgraduate Research Conference (IPRC) of the University of Kelaniya, facilitating abstract submissions, reviewer coordination, program details, and access to conference-related information for postgraduate researchers, academics, and participants.
This achievement reflects the dedicated efforts of the development team, followed by Mr Nirosh Lakshitha, Programmer, Faculty of Graduate Studies, whose technical expertise contributed significantly to the successful development and functionality of the website. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Ms D.S.R.E.S. Gunawardhana – Editorial Manager (IPRC), whose coordination was instrumental in shaping the project. Continuous leadership was also provided by Senior Prof. P.A. Paranagama - Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mr. K.B.S.L. Wijeratne – Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Graduate Studies, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of the platform.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies extends its sincere appreciation to all those involved in this achievement and remains committed to advancing digital innovation in support of postgraduate education and academic excellence at the University of Kelaniya.
