University of Kelaniya (UoK) Sri Lanka is collaborating with CQUniversity, Australia to offer a dual award;
Master of Business (MBus) by UoK
Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) by CQU
The Faculty of Graduate Studies has been offering Master of Business in Accounting/Finance online degree since 2013. As the pioneer of introducing flexible mode of pedagogical approach to deliver MBus in (Accounting/Finance), Department of Accountancy has taken steps to tie-up with one of renowned Australian universities to offer Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) Degree.
In this context, University of Kelaniya signed an agreement with CQUniversity, Australia. This paradigm change can create opportunities for Sri Lankan students who are seeking to complete a professional master’s degree in accounting overseas while staying in Sri Lanka. Further, this initiative provides value for money to candidates by giving them an opportunity to complete Master of Business in (Accounting/Finance) and Master of Professional Accounting, two degrees in one registration. These two degrees can be completed within the short time span of 16 months with world recognized credit value.

With this double degree program, students are having an opportunity to obtain Master of Business (Accounting/ Finance) from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) from CQUniversity Australia.
Both these degree programs are conducted in online mode and students will have an experience in discovering e-Learning and m-Learning blended learning exposure. All lesson materials are prepared by well qualified academic staff in both universities, available online 24/7 basis while progress is tracked under a continuous assessment process.
